    The Principal, the Management staff and Students of FGGC, Bwari-Abuja welcome you to the college official website. FGGC, Bwari, one of the 110 Unity Colleges in Nigeria was established in 1984 as a girls’ only, full boarding school. The college is located in Bwari Area Council, Abuja-FCT which is also home to the Nigerian Law School and the National Headquarters of Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB).

    about FGGC, Bwari

    Federal Government Girls’ College, Bwari-Abuja came into being on 15th January, 1984 to meet the demand for the girl-child education in FCT, the middle belt and the country at large. It was the 41st Unity College to be established in the country and the second in the Federal Capital Territory after Kwali. It is a boarding school which took off with 43 students, 8 teaching and 10 non teaching staff.

    Our Departments

    All you need to know about our school departments

    Vocational Department

    The subjects offered are music, visual arts, cultural and creative arts, technical drawing, basic electricity, electrical installation and maintenance dyeing and bleaching food and nutrition, home management, pre-vocational studies.

    Science Department

    Physics, chemisry, biology, agricultural science, physical and health education, health science, basic science and technology, fishery, animal husbandry, pre-vocational studies.

    Languages Department

    There are seven subjects offered in languages. These are: english language (both junior and senior school), litrerature -in- english, hausa, igbo, yoruba, french and arabic.

    Humanities Department

    There are eight different subjects: Christian religious studies: 5 teachers, civic education: 8 teachers, economics: 11 teachers, government: 4 teachers geography: 7 teachers,
